Lauren is a qualified teacher and spent 2 years teaching Spanish and Geography in secondary schools before moving across to work at 15billionEBP, a regional employability charity connecting young people with business opportunities.
She then spent 2 years studying a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Esade Business School in Barcelona, where she learnt about finance, marketing, business strategy and more. She also worked with classmates from around the world, building her intercultural communication skills.
Most recently she worked in the Data and Impact team at EY Foundation, collecting and analysing impact data on the charity’s work with young people. She also became Trustee of an Environmental grant-maker, The Helvellyn Foundation, where she directs support to the most impactful organisations working on the biodiversity crisis. Finally, Lauren also has a part-time role at Daring Capital, where she helps to identify and support promising start-ups that have both a commercial and social mission.
