“I’m joining the S4TP Youth Insights Panel to challenge how sustainability is communicated and delivered—bringing a real, lived perspective to ensure climate action actually resonates with the young people it’s meant to serve.”
Ethan is an aspiring climate leader with a background in sustainable energy, driven by a clear mission: to make sustainability practical, inclusive, and impossible to ignore. Rather than accepting the status quo, he actively challenges how organisations engage with young people—pushing for approaches that reflect real lives, not idealised ones.
Currently building his career in sustainability and social impact, Ethan is focused on closing the gap between ambition and accessibility. He is particularly passionate about ensuring that young people—especially those facing financial or social barriers—can see a place for themselves within climate action, even during a cost-of-living crisis where sustainable choices are often out of reach.
He has been described as a ‘purposeful disruptor’, bringing energy, honesty, and a willingness to question existing frameworks to drive meaningful change. His approach is rooted in the belief that sustainability cannot succeed if it only speaks to the privileged—it must work for everyone.
Having grown up in South Wales and experienced homelessness and instability firsthand, Ethan brings a perspective that is rarely represented in climate spaces. His lived experience fuels his determination to make sustainability more grounded, more relatable, and more accessible to those who are too often overlooked.
Outside of his work, Ethan channels his discipline into MMA, with a strong passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He values family deeply and thrives in community environments, particularly in Bristol, where he engages in everything from climate meetups to salsa dancing.
