“It’s a great way of giving something back to the local community”

Having two kids myself I was hoping that, by taking part in the Big Ideas Programme, I could bridge the gap between the kids ‘Big Ideas’ and putting them into a business-like plan.

I didn’t really know what to expect but I was so impressed with some of the talent and commitment shown from the students.

I loved being involved in the Big Ideas Days. There were so many different characters dreaming up ideas that could potentially turn into reality. One of the hardest things was trying to install some positivity into the kids. They have great ideas but seem to feel will fail so they do not put them forward.

I think a company as diverse as Tarmac has so much experience to offer the kids that together we could help them reach a potential that they may not have thought possible.
