Kathryn Lennon-Johnson

Kathryn Lennon-Johnson is an Entrepreneur, Author, TEDx Speaker, Teacher and Consultant with over 18 years of experience in behaviour change in the public and private sectors. To tackle the construction skills shortage and attract the next generation into construction, Kathryn recognised the need to celebrate the built environment as a source for good. She founded Built Environment Skills in Schools (BESS), which grew to include employer training (SEED), engagement solutions (BESSConnect), on-demand Virtual Work Experience (VWEX) and business growth strategies (BUILD). These new arms to the organisation are now all included within the parent company, Skills in Schools group.

“I have been in love with the Big Ideas Programme since I first heard about it, more than six years ago, and now I get to be a part of the organisation, helping to promote the incredible work of Solutions for the Planet and grow the impact of their initiatives. I couldn’t be more excited to help all these young people bring their amazing ideas to life, giving them skills, confidence, and tools for later life.”
