“It’s great that this generation get a chance to come up with Big Ideas to save the planet, I am looking forward to hearing these and mentoring the students to hopefully allow them to pitch to other groups; I believe this experience will allow them to gain transferable skills in which they can apply throughout the rest of their lives .”

What I do: My two year Graduate scheme allows me to rotate through different areas of the business to gain a real insight into how it operates day–to-day. I am currently working in Durnford quarry; however I have also worked in the Technical department and supervised a team in Business Admin. I wish to spend time in the External Affairs team understanding Tarmac’s social media direction and strategy.

A bit about me: If I am not at work you will find me outdoors, I love to explore either by hiking or cycling! I also have a real passion for motorcycles, I have been riding since the age of 3 years old and have owned numerous different bikes. I have a good eye for photography, so I never miss the chance for a snap!
