“I enjoy listening to young people developing their skills and bright ideas and knowing that the world we live in is their future and that their ideas can make a difference for them and for future generations and feel privileged to be able to mentor them.”

What do I do: I manage various teams for Mears looking after social housing and making a difference to their homes and the environment. Types of works that I cover range from a simple fence panel to complete refurbishments of all areas to make them safe for everyone involved.

We also bring the homes up to a better standard by replacing roofs etc… and also replacing timber cladding with a more efficient system to help both the resident and the environment

New roadways and pathways and also creating special areas for people to meet and sit together.

A bit about me:

I enjoy music going to concerts whenever possible with my son aged 11 who is also a promising drummer and looking forward to being able to perform himself.

I help out at the drum studio helping the other pupils when needed and listen to a varied style of music.

We also have a varied amount of pets at home to include dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, fish, snake and a gecko so a lot of time also goes on these.

We live out in the country so enjoy walking around our house where we can see deer, woodpeckers and all other native wildlife in the surrounding fields.
