Kashmire D.S. Hawker

“Having discovered the incredible work which Solutions for the Planet do, through the 2020 Virtual Big Ideas competition, I felt not only impressed by such engagement but quickly felt it became incumbent on people like me; in playing a part to protect the globe, become as sustainable as required and embracing the creativity of my generation. This is at the heart of Solutions mission and I feel beyond privileged that the Advisory Board gives me such an opportunity!”

Kashmire has been a judge for the Central England Region; in the Big Ideas competition since 2020 and feels empowered by what creativity can do.

He works as Administrator for Ceremonies, Culture and Queen’s Baton Relay at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games (specifically for the Culture Team) and serves on the West Midlands Young Combined Authority Board, which enables 16-25 year olds a chance to speak out about young people’s issues.

Outside of professional life, he supports Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, loves Motorsport and will use it in a positive way as a Volunteer Racemaker at Silverstone from 2022, has reached a Red Belt in Tae Kwon Do (with the aim to one day get to Black!) and despite being Autistic has got used to having his glasses always becoming wonky!
